SMALL CLAIMS PROCEEDINGS

Debts of up to 30,000 €. In this procedure the intervention of a Lawyer and Solicitor will only be necessary in two cases:

a) If the Debtor should deny the claim. In this case the next step is a Hearing (Ordinary trial if the sum exceeds 30,000 €, or Verbal hearing when the sum does not exceed 30,000€).

b) If the Debtor makes no response to the petition of a Small claims hearing. In this case one must proceed to a seizure of property, which does require the intervention of a Lawyer and a Solicitor.

To make the claim it is necessary to accompany the claim with the original documents that establish the debt (bills, invoices...)
